Smart Moves in Manufacturing: Invendor’s Takeaways from Industrial Spring in Poland

The spring trade fair season kicked off with a strong start at Industrial Spring 2025 in Kielce, Poland for invendor; bringing together the latest in manufacturing technology, automation, and industrial innovation.

This year, we had the pleasure of showcasing our Gravity cabinet to a Polish audience. Thank you to everyone who visited!  The insights we gained from conversations on the ground were both exciting and eye-opening.

Automation is everywhere – but not yet in every process

Walking through the halls of Industrial Spring, one thing was clear: automation is no longer the future – it’s the now. Welding robots, CNC machines, laser and plasma cutters, cutting tools, and welding gear dominated the floor. Every direction you looked, manufacturers were pushing to make production lines faster, smarter, and more efficient.

But while the spotlight was clearly on production processes, one key area still lags behind: the automation of industrial consumables – the very items that keep those impressive machines running.

We’re talking about the everyday stuff – cutting tools, welding gear, abrasives, gloves, adhesives, MRO supplies. The things that keep everything running smoothly, but are still often tracked with clipboards, spreadsheets, or even just memory.

Heiti’s key takeaway from the fair floor:

“The focus is definitely on automating production processes — and it’s impressive to see how far things have come. But what stood out to me is how little attention is still being paid to automating the supply of industrial consumables,” said Heiti Pakk, our Customer Success Manager.

““Think cutting tools, welding gear, adhesives, abrasives, PPE, and MRO supplies — all essential to keeping production moving, but often still managed manually or inefficiently. Industrial Spring confirmed what we’ve been seeing across Europe: the Polish industry is ready to take the next smart step – automating the flow of tools and consumables.””

Gravity cabinet in the spotlight

At the event, we introduced the Invendor Gravity cabinet — and it clicked with a lot of visitors. It’s designed to help manufacturers and distributors take control of consumables without adding more complexity.

Why Gravity cabinet stands out:

  • Refills take just minutes
  • Connects easily with ERP systems using our open APIs
  • Flexible reporting gives full stock visibility, anytime
  • Tracks user activity to reduce loss and improve accountability

The result? Less downtime, fewer shortages, and a more predictable supply chain.

Why inventory automation matters now

As factories become more efficient and lean, every weak point becomes more visible. If the machines are running 24/7 but someone’s still chasing down missing gloves or ordering cutting discs at the last minute, it creates avoidable friction.

That’s why more manufacturers and distributors are starting to explore Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and vending-based systems like Gravity. It’s about removing the guesswork, bringing in data, and giving teams the tools to stay ahead of their needs.

We also want to say a big thank you to our partners at Plasma Point for their hospitality and support during the fair.
